1. they sent multiple fliers to everyones homes a week ago 2. The FiOs info channel #111 has a message on it that gives informaion about the new IMG (this only appears when a state is close to being updated) 3. Channel 49 "the weather channel" has scrolling text on the bottom that says "New VERIZON IMG COMING SOON!"
also for months there have been fios commercials showing how the new IMG is used and what it looks like.
some people also clain to have gotten a phone call from fios. I did not, but when a phone call is placed you are usually VERY near to being updaed, though if people did get the phone calls when they claim they did, getting a phone call no longer means youre close.
