Yea I will probably get a fast speed too because thats an uncompressed speed test. But in a reality almost everything you download is compressed so its not a good idea to base any kind of speed rating on that.
I remember when i uploaded a bmp to my website on a 56k and it was doin 22KB/sec! |

Thats because there is a physicall limit of how fast you can download according to what speed your line was provisioned at. I can only get around the same speed too. Where as Cable doesnt have the same speed Cap as DSL users do. |

You should really let it go to about 25 to 30 MB so you can get a true average of your speed. If you try it 2 or 3 times and you have a chunk of it in your cache it will give a false high reading. Clear your cache and let it go to 30 MB and then do a screen shot. |

this was taken around 2:14 in the afternoon but at night i can get 700 kb/sec but it promptly drops to 400 then 300 and stays at 250~ kb/sec |
