Re: [TWC] Service "Improvement" Waco, TX DivisionReminds me of when we got switched from the dual-cable system to the single-cable system. When they made the change, I lost all channels on my TV and my Internet service. When I called in they said that everything was completed and that services were working fine in my area. I asked if I needed a different box to get online, and they said no, that the boxes were still the same, and the soonest they could schedule was going to be a week and a half out. So I was without TV and Internet for a week and a half, at least that's what it looked like, and then on top of that I was on call.
So I decided to fool around with the cables, found that by plugging the cables in backwards on the DVR I could at least get half of the channels, still without on-demand services. Finally when a tech came out, I reversed the cables out so it was exactly like when I talked to TWC to begin with. He came in, popped the cable connection unit (I have no idea what it's really called) off the back of the box, replaced it with a new one, and then hooked my cable modem up to the different port as well.
Now why didn't the phone CSR just tell me to bring the box into the local office for them to change it out since the old one wasn't going to work, or even tell me to bring it in to have that one piece swapped? Also why didn't they say to change which jack I was wired up to.
Crazy. Oh well, enough ranting. It just seems that TWC frequently does things half-assed. |
