help~ Self installation.

I got equipments and line last week, but I can't use DSL.
I installed speedstream 4060 USB port modem, Enternet 300 v 1.41.(My O.S is Winme)

I tried to register for SBC internet Services, but I can't connect it. It shows ''no response from the server''
What should I do? My modem has green light already. I think that means I have sync...-_-a

Plz...help me~

You know, I had that same problem when I got my stuff. What it was ,was when they sent me the registration package, they sent the wrong address to register. Because itll only allow you to go to one sight(as inmy case pacbells, yet they sent me the address for SWbell),which is the secure registration sight ,until you register.

Good point crazyvillegas. if that's the case, here's some things he needs to do. I found this in another thread:

You will have to register as a DSL user before your Dial-Up name/password will work. If you were a DSL user before it may work. Once you Enternet installed try logging on with your user/pass. If works, no problem.
If not, try logging on with name: dslreguser pass: reguser. The only site you should be able to reach will be »secure.pacbell.net/DYNDSL. You can then follow the instructions to register as a DSL user and transfer your dial-up name to DSL. Something like that -- it has been many months since I helped a person register. If you tell them you are a new account they will bill you for your new DSL and your old Dial-Up.

Windows-ME and 4060 not a good combo. Go to the pacbell website on your dial up account. There is a driver upgrade for Windows ME and the 4060. This is the only way you are going to work.

4060, 3060... PacBell is not even providing these modems anymore, especially 3060. call EPC up and request Alcatel SpeedTouch Home or Westell!
