Re: Rocky. Noticing loss of potential business yet?

The options are a bit different in Quebec, where Videotron does not throttle, but costs more. As I said, why should a Videotron user switch to TekSavvy when he's NOT throttled now?

It is more expensive and there is no throttling, but, the monthly caps are kind of ridiculous. Regular high speed is 30 gigs ! But extreme high speed is 100 gig.

I am still happy i moved to TekSavvy from Videotron and will stay with them until they stop fighting for what bell is doing. If Bell wins this and keeps throttling and TekSavvy accepts it, i doubt they will, i will see what i will do.

I have videotron at home. package tv, phone and internet high speed. I called on monday to cancel my internet, was transferred to retention. I gave them my reasons: I'm French. I'm used to adsl, had a slow 512K then 4M, during 7 years... and used to unlimited. Some months I went 120GB / month, which was extremely rare, most of the time it was 40GB. It's not worth the cost for me to keep high speed or pick extreme. There's a possibility I go over 100GB, and most of the time I would'nt even use my bandwidth fully. over-usage is not an option either. extreme too expensive.

There is some throttling on Bell's network now but it won't stop me from switching. I'll just be dling tv series (old tv series mostly :P) off the peak time. I'm not the leecher type, I download only what I have time to watch.

imho, teksavvy is the closest to what I want.
