THIS IS THE LONGEST REVOLUTION

I have to say this bs has to stop, its been about 4 years now and broadband STILL isnt available in many areas, its STILL expensive, and the EXECUTIVES ARE STILL GREEDY ! Now with the new att/comcast merger, all you big guys are no better than microsoft killing innovation. If there are price increases, and monthly caps. Wait 4 years ill make a company that offers broadband access that will make all of you cry ! AND THATS A PROMISE !!

Amen brother.
We just finally got cable modems this year. Clearly, you live in a minority district in your metro area. Your cable company has higher costs per capita due to bad economies of scale. IT'S THERE FAULT COMPLETELY. They shouldn't have bought your city, and they want you to pay for it. I'm betting you've been in a contract dispute for years just like mine was. Don't expect the exploitation to end the instant they give you cable modems either. Time Warner is chargin non-cable customers in my city $85/month for cable modems. That's 70% more than what every other city gets charged.
I told this to somebody else. What you have to do is start a DishNetwork retail operation. Target your city specifically. If your cable company is the minority player in your metro area(only have one or two suburbs), then it will only take the loss of a few people to drive them out of profitability and force them to sell out to the majority cable company at any price even a loss. The majority company will know this and your cable company will get taken to the ringer. SWEET REVENGE!!! That's the kind of thing that would make me proud to be an American, seeing a monopoly go down.

The key to my plan is the fact that your cable company is probably on their way out anyways. They probably won't be there in 4 years. So you really wouldn't be doing anything that won't happen anyways, just accelerating it.
