[Vista] Explorer.exe crahing

Hello everyone,

I have a HP Vista desktop that I am trying to setup that keeps crashing on me with a windows explorer error. I will post the error log that Vista is showing me. Hopefully someone here can translate it for me because I am not sure what is going on. The desktop is not currently connected to the internet and I have it does not have SP1 on it yet so perhaps this is an old problem that is fixed already.

Thanks

At what point does the explorer crash? If you boot in SafeMode does the same error occur? Also, id you check eventviewer logs for errors or warnings?

Downloading Vista SP1 now and going to install it on the computer along with new drivers from hp for the integrated vid card etc...

Then I will see if anything changes and try out the safe mode boot.

Thanks Cudni

PS I looked at logs and it shows 40 windows crashes with a cause of Bluescreen but no other identifying data. Don't really fell like wiping the HD but it might be the answer eventually.

Well I updated to SP1 today and then I uninstalled every driver and reintalled them all and it seems to be more stable today.

However there is still some hiccups present in that the computer will just seem to stall for upto a minute when you try to open some programs.

This is my first workings with Vista Home and I must say if anyone is going toget Vista go all the way and get the Ultimate, I have it on my own laptop nad have never ran into an issue with it.
