There is a friends and family referral program. Basically, it will typically get you access to the current special offers available in your area. Sometimes there's little extras like free installations included, and so forth. If this seems a little vague, that's because it all depends on what's currently available in your neck of the woods, so I can't tell you what they're going to offer when they call you.

It's not that exotic or unusual, though - you *can* get some good deals that way, but it's not like you learn the secret handshake that gets you free internet for life or anything ;)

The major catch is, it only applies to new services for you. If you don't have internet, you can get a good introductory offer for internet. If you already have it, you can't use this to apply a discount to your existing service.
