Timezone Changes in PAP

Problem: Timezone in PAP defaults to EST/EDT even though I'm in the CST/CDT timezone.

I opened a ticket w/VT on this, and they gave me the password to log in to the PAP to change the default timezone and it worked for a while, then reverted back to EST. Is there any way to make this stick other than turning provisioning off? I'd prefer not to turn off provisioning so that as they push out server updates my adapter gets updated.

I have to believe there is a way to make it stick to any time zone without being effected by provisioning.

I have a BYOD PAP2T with VT, so auto-provisioning is disabled for me. But a BBR Search with the criteria "changing time zone Viatalk" (without the quotes) does return similar past posts indicating the same unresolved problem.

Just wait till we switch to ST from DT - a new thread will invariably start with all the old familiar fixes being suggested.

Can you check if you have a DST rule enabled on your adapter?

Click Admin Login > Advanced View > Regional, then its under the Misc heading. If there is one, clear it out.

You should also make sure that we have the correct timezone on your adapter's config (for provisioning). I can check if you PM me your number, or you can open a ticket with support.

Josh - just PM'd you w/my number. Thanks for looking into this. BTW, I did originally open a ticket about this - that's how I got the admin password, but the fix didn't take.

Josh - there was a DST rule in my adapter. After clearing it out, it appears the time has stayed correct since - about 3 days now.

Thanks.
