<description><![CDATA[cob_ posted : WebDAV.  It's more secure than FTP, and doesn't require a client other than the OS you've got installed.  Multiple simultaneous file transfers with a familiar client interface (Windows Explorer), shows up as a Network Place once you've connected and authenticated for the first time.  Couldn't be simpler.  I've had WebDAV running on IIS for the last few years for a client; aside from mistyped passwords, a few directory permissions issues, and one user who created a file with special characters in it, it's been great.<br><small>--<br>"No matter how hard you push and no matter what the priority, you can't increase the speed of light."<br><br>- RFC 1925</small>]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[tomdlgns posted : i am not sure how helpful this will be since i dont really know your environment, but i have a NAS device that allows FTP connections.  the NAS device doesnt allow for upload via a browser, i am able to have my clients download via the web browser and what is great about that device is that you can modify the FTP port on it.  by default it is 21, but you can change it to 80.]]></description>
