Cute FTP and Xp, Router, and TinyWell I got back into website design, and loaded with XP pro, I have Cute 4.2. Well I get loged onto the server, but I can transfer files. It just sits there and the hourglass goes forever and nver transefers, and its only a 7kb html page.
What gives? How do I check to see if the port 21 is open?
THanks

You may need to check to see if your tiny has rules for that port and program , and also see it your router has that port frowared to that IP on your LAN ... |

Run a port scan at Gibson Reasearch Company |

Well if you can login to the server your port is not closed. So I would say it is the server you are trying to ftp to. |

21 FTP Stealth! There is NO EVIDENCE WHATSOEVER that a port (or even any computer) exists at this IP address!
Whats this mean to a guy who needs to ftp?

That is only your side the other side however is a whole new story. Have you tried enabling PASV mode on your Cute FTP? |
