comments on review of Verizon DSL → Verizon worked well for me

DSL finally became available in my building in Arlington, VA around mid-November, and 3 companies called within a few days to inform me. I selected Verizon, since they are the incumbent carrier, and my experience has been great. The equipment showed up within a few days, as promised, and the service went live a few days earlier than promised. I had a technical problem that the Verizon techs tried to help me with, but it turned out to be something on my end. A good friend asked if I was extending a flat phone cable around a corner into the DSL modem, which I was, and he created a round cable for me that solved the problem. Service has been uninterrupted since (knock on wood). As far as I am concerned, Verizon works well.
