Re: Something to be proud of

Nil - I really think that that's not a bad idea.
It took me a while to find resolution to a ATTBI problem - who'd have guessed I'd have found a resolution to a problem with a cable modem in a DSL forum??

Below follows two posts in the "ATTBI Denver Forum" thread relevant I think?

In "ATTBI Denver Forum" thread I Wrote:
Glad to see you folks online.

I have to a agree the post with the provisioning instructions was a great help and Royzones response to one of my posts with instructions on setting the proxy to get through the SAS registration was key - thanks to all of you.

Now a question - why are these things not posted on ATTBI's "official" help pages? ( I just checked before spouting off and cannot find these instructions ) It sure seems to me that these kinds of meaningful helps tips would be much more valuable the the "typical" stuff there. The help pages are where the average users go to first. It could sure cutdown on some calls.

This is my PERSONAL thoughts.
I am going to say this as nice as I can. Some customers can't handle the info> It becomes confusing. These are the customers that use are service cause it is just so easy for them but they don't understand that IE is your browser. They are learning and getting on the internet is the best education they can get.
Other than that I couldn't say why. I rather like having this stuff posted on DSL reports as TECH SUPPORT can really tell you the situation with out fear from QA scores (those closeted folks that listen to the calls and grade them) or they can tell you the truth. DSL reports has become "land of the Free" for the Agents

Ok, but whenever * things* got to complicated and I did not understand, I would simply ask and someone would virtually walk me trough it.
I think this is the best part about this forum,( unlike news groups)most people here are really friendly as opposed to being arrogant and condescending.
I know that AT&T never had to deal with my problems (Phone calls)because I got the help I needed right here in this forum.
