Zyxel P-2602hw-d1a. No connection between WLAN and LANHi Experts. I have a P2602HW-D1A wireless router with a build-in 4 port switch (LAN). It's running the latest firmware 3.40 from 2008.
I can't get any connection between the LAN and WLAN.
I have disabled all firewalls (in the router and the connected PC's).
I have the router configured as DHCP-server and all connected PC's get the right IP-addresses ect.
All connected PC's can access the internet without any problems.
But when I try to ping a PC on the LAN (connected via cable) from a PC on the WLAN, I get no reply. And visa versa.
I even tried to make a firewall-rule in the router that allows all LAN-LAN traffic, even though i didn't enable the firewall. Still no luck.
Is the router defect ?
Hope you can help. Steffen |

By default is, for security reasons, no traffic possible between WLAN and LAN. You need to enable this yourself.
Telnet to the router and enter the following 3 commands:
sys general load 1 sys general bridge on sys general save

Status report :
It works 100%. With the solution from Bwuutje, WLAN and LAN are connected.
From a google-search, I only thought that this solution was valid for P660 routers, but it also works on the P2602.
Thanks again Bwuutje. |

Hi Jahu
Open a command-window (start-run-cmd-enter) Type : telnet 192.168.1.1 If the router has another ip-address, use that instead.
Then you have to type the password for the router. After you logged in, you can type the commands : sys general load 1 sys general bridge on sys general save
Hope it works for you. sthh |
