Re: NTP problems?

You want to provide NTP service to the internet at large?

Hmmm...a pretty tall order particularly when there are numerous public time servers already in operation. Personally I recommend using a public pool service. For example I have my home desktop and laptop pointed to 0.us.pool.ntp.org...

I'm already providing NTP service to the internet at large.

Everything's already working correctly. It's just that I need someone to confirm for me where the problem is, whether it's on AT&T's lines or if it's just me.

So far I've confirmed it to be AT&T's lines.

And as for using a public pool service, no thanks. I've got a working set-up that just needs a little more help in figuring out where the blockage's occuring.

Just curious but why and who will use your NTP server?

Are you listed anywhere?

Not yet listed anywhere, no. My plan was to get my NTP server up and working correctly before opening it to the public, hence my troubleshooting and trying to trace the issue down so I could fix it and really get it going.

Though, right now, my server is working in tandem with that of Digibase's. Digibase would be here: »www.digibase.ca

Digibase's Time server is time.digibase.ca

Any other questions?
