Re: [BT] seedbox best and cheapest?

We shall see which will cease to exist in a few year
Torrent does not need server to function, usenet user have probably never used torrent to be talking like his. If usenet was free everyone would be using it, I don't have extra money to burn like some of you guys.

HAHA...and yet you are going to pay for a seedbox. Dude you are not making any sense at all. Usenet itself(notice I say usenet and NOT nzb site) cannot and will not be shutdown. Meanwhile a private torrent site can be shutdown.

Continuing discussion.

I used BT before usenet. It's a good thing I did too, because I never would've appreciated usenet as much as I do right now if I hadn't used BT before.

Wrong. I've used both, and prefer Usenet. You're the one that hasn't used Usenet in *years* so you can't possibly make the comparison.

You're right. After all, Usenet has only been around for 30 years. It's bound to go away soon...

I used torrents for a long time before I get into usenet thanks to this forum. I love usenet I like it far more then torrents. I just got a HD-TV and with the WD media player I download BR rips all the time. Being as each rip can be 4.7 gigs or more good luck uploading all that back on a torrent to not get banned from a tracker.

I still use both myself. For small files or ones that are not on usenet I use torrents everything else I use usenet. I pay for usenet before I'd pay for a seed box.

Usenet has been around since the 80's and has managed to stick around while a variety of online fads have come and gone. It'll continue to evolve over time, but I'd be surprised to see it disappear any time soon.

Functionally the two differ enough that torrent has continued to run into legal problems, while Usenet is still chugging along after almost 30 years.

If I had to wager any money on which one will be around longer, I'd suggest checking out a few comparison sites, and grabbing a Usenet account now...

LMAO. You're head is so far up your *** this is hilarious.

Usenet has been around for twenty+ years. It is *totally* going die out now that torrents exist; especially after forums, other p2p software, and even free google groups has popped up over the past ten years.

And that's right. When a tracker server goes down, new DLers and current peers all can still update and get lists of new peers. And I'm *sure* those trackers will enable DHT or other non-tracker based solutions, especially for BT sites that have high upload seeds that pay for seedboxes. Also, there doesn't require a server for users to browse the torrents. You guys just magically get them from internet.

BT is free, that must be why you're paying for a seedbox to continue to use the private BT sites and maintain a high ratio.

And finally, of course we have extra money to burn on newsgroups unlike seedboxes. 11 USD a month for Astraweb leaves me broke every month. It's so much more expensive than seed box servers that allow for unlimited bandwidth upload.

I'm so glad you turned me over to the right way.
