pianoman94 posted : This morning, I e-mailed a nice, polite message to datacom@pacbell.com asking them to remove my speed cap. And much to my delight, I got a couple of phone calls around 3pm telling me that they've done it. It was surely nicer than being put on hold for 30+ minutes and then having to talk to some clueless representative. Thanks to Ryo and others for informing me of Pacbell's faster-than-you-can-believe response time through e-mail.

How long to uncap?

anon posted : I called the tech line 2 days ago (1-888-900-9933) And had them put a trouble ticket on my line, the guy did not seem very clued in to the cap issue. I never recieved a response or saw any difference in my line speed (I appear to be capped at 384) so Yesterday I emailed datacom@pacbell.com. again 24 hours goes by, and no response or differnce. So 10 minutes ago, I called the tech line again, and got a tech who put a trouble ticket on my line, but she seemed more with it. So I am hoping I get a call from the tech soon. My question is how long should it take? It seems like some of you guys get uncapped in less than about 2 hours!

Any info is appreciated
