Beware the weakest link in your home network. For me it's the router. If you want good speed and to put it to good use you're going to have to upgrade to a good router.
Even the new, screamingly fast DLink DIR-655 I have has problems (e.g. it usually accepts no changes after I turn the wifi radio off and have to do a full reset to get it working again; i had to choose the optonline profile to get it working at all a week or two after I set it up) but at least it can handle a hefty amount of activity on my Boost connection without crumpling the way everything else I tried was.
I have had several service outages from Optonline, though. It happens often enough at odd hours (I get a txt message when my home server is unreachable from the outside). But nobody else offers what Boost offers -- the ability to run my own web server to tinker with all I want. If FIOS offered that I'd consider them.
Optonline support has actually been helpful to me most of the time, so I don't have any real complaints about them.
