<description><![CDATA[Answer Guy posted : No, AT&T is not buying any customer accounts.  They are buying the infrastructure (electronics and frequencies) of the affected markets.  They are not really buying the actual towers as most towers are not owned by the cell companies.  A vast majority of cell companies lease the space on the towers.]]></description>

Verizon as you know is CDMA.  Verizon is holding on to the GSM equipment for roaming revenue.  They have equipped all former Unicel customers with new CDMA handsets.
