Re: Motorola SB6120 Config File

My SB6120 listed the Walled Garden config file after it first connected it but it never showed the provisioned config file except when Comcast updated the firmware.

Your computer should be connected directly to the modem when using DHCPforce. After connecting your computer directly to the modem make sure you are online. Paste the MAC address of the modem into DHCPforce and click discover. If nothing shows up click discover again. Send me a PM if you need further assistance.

Thanks I will try that and post back. But can you help me understand why I get no entries in the modem log even after I recycle power and the modem re-connects?

The only thing my modem logs show are occasional T3 time-outs. Even during the provisioning process nothing new showed up. I guess Comcast and/or Motorola choose to have it that way. This is a big change from previous Motorola modems that showed everything.

Thanks again for the info. I did run the DHCPforce and it show my config file to be d11_m_sb6120_silver_c01.cm which I guess is the one for my speed.
Now I can only hope they put me on the map for DOCSIS 3.0 sometime in my lifetime.

I have the same issue. Thought it had to do with my local area but I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
