Hmm, that's odd. I share my connection while using ZA. I never connect to the Internet without it ;->.

None of the software on the installation CD prevents the operation of home networks. ZA, however, can mess things up if you block necessary ports or apps. I've done that a lot ;->.

There may be some @Home software on your system that periodically tries to call back to its server. You may wish to delete that now, but I've heard that the application removal program used by @Home removes a file needed by MSN Messenger, so you may have to reinstall the latter.
