CenturyTel → DSL expansion question

I was told that dsl was FINALLY coming to my area out in the boonies. I have my doubts but i want to believe it so very badly. anyways i have a blurry pic of the box they installed out near my house, sorry for the blur, i was driving.

Can anyone tell me if this is indeed a dsl hub or not, and if it is, how long does it normally take to get the dsl service up and running once its got the hub installed. Thanks for your answers.

That could be anything. The "DSL" box in my areas look like pizza boxes and are not visible to the public. They are inside of bigger boxes like your picture.

They've told me twice I had DSL when it was painfully obvious that nothing had been upgraded. Believe it when your DSL modem tells you.
