Re: pain in their sidesaid by bUU:Not at all. Providing information showing that your questions were assuming premises that were false. In other words, that your contention and insinuations had no merit. In other words, that you were just blowing smoke. no smoke. Im merely pointing out the highly likely fact that you enjoy some government socialized programs. |

Even if that were true, are you claiming that that justifies your calls for every bit of socialism that you want? Idiocy. |

There is no hypocrisy in what I've written, no matter how much you want there to be. You want want want without regard to what is real. You allow your frustration to prompt you to make lame accusations against people who present accurate and realistic information that you don't like, without defending your accusations with anything other than FUD and more baseless accusations.
However, none of that is really important. What's important is that you're committing a disservice, to yourself and everyone who reads your propaganda. You're leading yourself and others to believe something that is untrue, unrealistic and not actual. In doing so, you're fostering unfounded expectations, which lead to a death spiral of dissatisfaction and disappointment.
In a nutshell: Your contributions regarding this issue are actually harmful to the people who believe them; mine are constructive, preparing them for what they actually will encounter. |

"accurate and realistic"? pffftt! Perhaps in your own world. You are the one going around and telling people that they are hypocrites and you dont even know them. Tell me, how accurate is that? "Your contributions regarding this issue are actually harmful to the people", and you are entitled to your warped opinion. I just love how you're playing doctor phil here. Just how much do you enjoy the socialist services that are offered by our government? You know, the ones i mentioned earlier. I must reiterate: How does it feel to be part of a very old socialist country? Head Start program: began in 1965 public school program: ~1647 social security: began in 1935 Medicaid : started in 1965 public library: started in 1900 First national park: 1872 FCC: established in 1934 US postal service: 1775 Bailout of the auto industry: 2008 The only propaganda I see is coming from the RIGHT of center. The buzz word that they repeat over and over and over is "SOCIALIST". So what's all of this mantra about the US ***BECOMING*** a socialist country? Clearly we've been one for a very long time. |

This is such a tired and pathetic argument... just because we have a few social programs does not make us a socialist country. Its like saying China is anarchist because they are starting to allow private property. Furthermore, having SOME social programs is not an excuse to bring on MORE social programs, particularly when most of the existing programs are bankrupt or on the verge of it. |

Tired indeed, but tell that to those that continuously sling that word around towards anyone that disagrees with their politics. It seems that since obama has become president the mantra staple has been "socialist". And we just dont have a few. There are many programs. |

Maybe its because of this Newsweek cover: Newsweek, I may add, is clearly a magazine that is sympathetic to the Obama administration. My question to you is why are you offended by the term "socialist?" |

My question to you is why are you offended by the term "socialist?" Honestly, Im not offended at all. Seriously. I just want to know why, all of a sudden, since obama has entered office that this is a mantra of those that oppose him? I never saw our last republican president get labeled a socialist from this same group of people. After all, he was the one that started the automotive bail out and the public stimulus package. Sometimes i wonder if the republicans are just sore losers, and that when power was removed from their hands they get bitter. |

I can't speak for anyone else, but personally, I was pissed as hell when Bush started the automotive bailouts and the TARP program. Just like I was pissed as hell about his Medicare prescription program the drunken explosion of the federal government under his watch. The amazing part is (and what further adds to the frustration), Obama is expanding the federal government at an exponential level compared to Bush. |

Phil and I do agree on some things, surely. Like the idea that people should take responsibility for their own feelings and stop always working so hard to blame others, other people and other entities, for the things that make them unhappy. |
