Just installed Last Friday

I got a SBV5222 installed. It looks to be only Docsis 2.0. I am in an area where the World of More has not arrived yet, and according the tech who installed it said they just have started training in my area. I find it highly doubtful that they will be 100% converted by the end of the year. I bet we still have expanded basic at the end of the year. (granted we might close to having DTA's out and ready to turn it off)

In area's like mine where comcast only has DSL to compete with, they have no reason to push out the higher speeds.

They pushed D3 out in the Denver area and at the time Qwest's highest tier could be matched by Blast. Even now many areas can't even get ADSL2+ from Qwest, but Comcast has 'em all wired for DOCSIS 3. So there is hope...

Comcast has been somewhat expensive and not with out outages here in South Denver I-25 close to DTC. Qwest just updated the neighborhood fiber optic box in the corner of my back yard. Before moving from 12 blocks away from here, I had really bad quality with QWest and not sure if I want to go there again. But, the price is cheaper.
Comcast HSI, one HDTV (with only HBO) and digital phone package is costing me close to $200 a month. The Qwest / dish combo would be about half.
What to do?

Get Qwest, assuming they can give you decent speeds in their own hometown. For me (and for others in Golden AFAIK) Comcast has been much better than Qwest.
