Re: What DPS class/spec requires finess?

The reason I asked is because I'm going to level another toon, and I don't want the DPS at endgame to get stale or boring. So when I say finesse, I don't really mean difficult. You can walk with finesse, but everyone can walk. Rogue DPS is easy, but it FEELS like I can always improve on my timing. On my Warrior, I just get bored because there is just a point when I did all I can do. That's what I was trying to accomplish with the ratings in the first post.

It's a stupid question, I know. I would have asked "Which DPS is most fun at endgame?" but I would have just thought everyone would have just said "Go with XXX cause it's easy gear/abilities/whatever and they get good numbers." Maybe a better question would be "Which DPS is still fun/challenging after raiding for 6 months?"

Thanks for the replies, though. I may try Kitty just because it sounds like a more difficult Rogue... and the John Madden flow chart.

They'll probably change everything with Cata by the time I hit 80 with this toon anyway.

Based off your post I would suggest playing a Warlock, or Feral Druid. Outside of that I can't think of to many other classes that could provide some difficulty and not be boring.

^ +1. There's something majestic about the affliction rotation. I think that it's not clunky, but takes skill to master. Having all your shadow diseases going off plus shadow bolt spam or a drain life and seeing huge ticks/crits is a very satisfying feeling.

Not to mention that the whole idea behind the Haunt spell infesting your target and then returning their life force to you is just badass.

I give our current feral credit. When asked recently about how hard his rotation was, he responded with, "Hard? Hell no, it's not hard. It's annoying as all hell, but it's not hard."

As Awesome likes to say, don't drink the Koolaid. WoW is not hard. Some things may be more difficult than others for you personally, depending on your proclivities and abilities, but it's not hard.

(ok, playing an Aff lock in Nax MIGHT have been hard. But they simplified it, because they don't WANT things in WoW to be hard. It's not in the designers' intent.)

Edit: Kris... "majestic"?
