Digital Imaging and Photography → [Tech] A little Help please...Wife drives me crazy!

I currently own a Canon EOS XSi with a decent lens, gear, etc. But my wife & I want to purchase a decent point & shoot we can bring on day trips, dinner, etc. It needs to be small enough to fit in a purse or belt case. We would also like it to be able to shoot VIDEO too. I'm hearing that the Panasonic Lumix is the way to go these days, however my wife wants a SMALL "pink or silver" camera she can put in her purse or a belt case. Can anyone suggest a camera as good as the Lumix that shoots video & is small enough to fit in a purse or small belt case? Please do not exceed $250.00.

Under $250 and "pink".

Although I dont think any of those are quite as good as the Lumix.

I got the Lumix TZ5 for my wife last summer. It comes in silver (and blue and black), but not pink. It does 720p video.

It's an older model, but works great. It's just over your budget at $259. Might be too big too?

Shoots 720p video too. Under $180 at amazon, so you have enough left in the budget for the card and a carry case...
