Any new HD channels coming out for IO?

We hav'nt had any in awhile now

if there was, there would be a thread here, regardless of what would be added, of which it would mostly have replies from people complaining it's not the nfl network and bbc america and whatever other channels that cablevision has no chance of ever adding

LOL, from a selfish viewpoint all I need to never have to watch SD again is

History International HD

Investigation Discovery HD (tired of seeing the text saying, Investigation Discovery Now Available in High Definition during the start of programs)

Fox Soccer Channel HD

Those are 3 channels I regularly view and would love them to be added at some point. I remember reading Cablevision's contract with Fox is up for negotiations after a short extension last season because the Yankees were in the playoffs.

Imagine FSC HD would launch once that agreement is reached between Fox and CV.

For Investigation Discovery HD and History International HD would have to wait until the Discovery and A&E Networks deals respectively are up for renegotiation.

Once that is done, I can't think of much else outside of

Starz Cinema HD and Starz In Black HD that was recently launched.

I have 0 interest in HD channels like
Headline News HD
Lifetime HD
Lifetime Movie Network HD
Hallmark Channel HD

could wait forever for those, others might feel differently.

I have given up on ever seeing NFL Network HD or BBC America HD.

im hoping rutgers gets signed to the Big 10 so cablevision is forced to add it to the normal family package

Why would that force a package change? If anything, BigTen Network will get greedy and Cablevision will dump it from the sports package leaving you with nothing...

Trust me, after sitting through two World Cup games, soccer is still boring in HD.

But the HD resolution does allow you to actually see the grass grow during the game.

Hey I'll admit its not everyone's cup of tea.

I follow the English Premier League, with a sprinkling of Italian and Spanish leagues thrown in.

After seeing some of the Premier League games on ESPN in HD this past season, watching games in SD on FSC is brutal.

Its actually weird watching live sports in SD by this point in time with HD sports saturation all over the place.
