The boot file will remain on the logs after a firmware update only unless you reset all defaults then it will be erased with noway of seeing it again unless they roll out another update.You can just reboot or power cycle the modem and you won't lose it just resetting all defaults clears all logs.If people want to have the file simply print the page out and file it somewhere thats about as simple as it gets.
