Macbook to Sony BraviaI have a little problem. I'm trying to connect my Macbook to my Sony Bravia but it's not working. I currently have a Mini-DVI-to-VGA convertor connected to my Macbook with the other end connected to the back of the TV. However, when I go to "Input" on my TV, the "PC" option is grayed out.
I also had a Mini-DVI to RCA convertor which I tried; and that worked perfectly but the quality on the TV was really blurry (after changing the settings to NTSC on my Macbook)
Am I doing something wrong?
Thanks! |

try rebooting the computer with T.V. off, then turn on the T.V. and see if "PC" is enabled. |

Just tried that - no dice.
I don't mind using the mini dvi to S-Video adapter but the quality on the tv is pretty bad or fuzzy. If there's a way to fix that or for the VGA to work - I would be happy either way. |

Doesn't your TV have HDMI? Just get a mini-dvi to hdmi adapter, then use a regular hdmi cable and you should be good to go. » www.monoprice.com/produc ··· format=2 |

got to the display settings and I think there is a DETECT Display button... see if MB sees it then.. |

I tried the Detect Displays but nothing happens...going to try the HDMI route and see what happens. |

The HDMI route will be better too. Most TVs when using the VGA input limit the resolution to 1336x768 (or similar). When using HDMI you can use 720p (1280x720) or 1080p (1920x1080) if your TV supports it. |

Keeping the signal digital with HDMI/DVI/DP is always the best option if possible. |
