Mediacom → Re: [IL] SNR worse as colder outside / 10 day wait for tech ! ?

Well there could be an intermittent suck out, cracked cable, bad stinger on hard cable connectors, the AGC in the amplifier might not be working or if it is the gain control is not centered which would affect the AGC or a power pack ready to fail. Had these problems many times during many winters. Being an ex Maint tech I was paged out many times in the middle of the night, however got lucky a few times temp dropped to -10 by 7pm some nights so it would act up then.
