It's a way for store managers to make the irritation felt when the "illegal" parking is repeated for months. |

You know, I seriously thought about that because this is the first time in my few years of driving (I'm only 19 edging 20) that I've even SEEN a ticket glued to a window. My guess is that the adhesive sticks so that they can more easily identify repeat offenders. Why pay >$60/month to park at a station when there is a gigantuous shopping center with no time limit signs across the street? I only became keen to the idea after seeing tons of people walk from the center to the BART station every day for half a semester (I'm a college student). The security guard at the plaza (yeah, just one) told me some tips but said he'd have to ticket me because his arse was beig watched by the security office. Haha. |

It was slapped on the drivers window and not the windshield. And it was done by or at the order of the owner of the parking plaza that the OP has been parking at to avoid paying for a permit to park at the train parking. The OP I am sure is not the only one who thought they would park there to avoid paying for the train parking permit...So these vehicles were parked in a spot on private property all day long taking up spots that should be for customers of the tenants of the plaza. And so the property owner contracted with a towing company and they first had to warn these vehicle owners ( many don't ) and they did it the way they did so the tow truck operator would have no problem identifying which vehicles to tow in the event the owners of said vehicles didn't move them for good or tried to scrape the warning notice off and park there again the next day. |

I must have been typing my post reply directly above this one while you posted again...Are you absolutely positive there are no signs anywhere informing people who park there that there is a time limit to parking? Or a sign that says tenant or patron parking only? No signs at all posted anywhere? |

Of course, no one would ever take a ticket from a car and put it on another car ... |

If there were no time limit signs there, then it wasn't the store manager(s) (the security guard hired by them) who glued their irritation... it was the authorities at the train station you work for, because they want you to pay their parking permit fee! Second guessing'll get you nowhere; I was joking. |

Here in CT they stick these bright orange stickers to the window.. BUT these stickers have glue on the FULL BACK and not just the top and lower parts. SO you can always tell a person that had them because the sticker rips and they can't get the rest off. |
