XuhQshinR posted :
said by indy036:
hopefully i will have a choice of insuck broadband

or sprint dsl fast connectr 1.5/256 384 ? 50$ month

but until then I ll chug along with my isdn ( hey better than dial up)

Keep in mind that just because a DSL ISP advertises a speed such as "1.5/256" does not mean that is what you will get. Several factors will play into your actual speeds with ADSL. First how far do you live from the C/O?

The 1.5/256 they mention are only what is possible with an Ideal location, line condition, etc....
Most that I know rarely get that 1.5 (unless they live right next door to the Central Office (C/O).

$ for $ cable is generally much faster on the downstream than ADSL.

Just thought I would let you know. There is more detailed info here on this site (Broadband aka DSLReports) about all types of DSL and what you can expect etc... Bottom line...Read and learn all you can before making your decision so you will choose what service is right for you.
