Nialis posted : You are aware, they use the "line upgrade" as a way to get you off the phone, it makes them look proactive in repair vs reactive. Likely what happened is they lost a SAN and are trying to rebuild the array which on very large databases could take days.

Someone else posted not to rely on "free isp" mail. Last time I checked it was not free, you stop paying for your internet you lose access to your email. If you use the email for business and pay for a commercial account then I would start screaming. However if you have a residential account and use it for business there is really nothing you can do about that.

At the moment I am hardly receiving any email in Northwest Indiana, and with the other email accounts I have, that go through Chicago, they are down.

Frontier really screwed up this time, and I wish we had a company like Verizon back - that knew what they were doing.

Worked through phone tree to an automated message basically saying people are unable to log onto their email & it's a nationwide problem. Techs working on it but still no eta to having everything back. If the post is true about a car wreck in Chicago blowing a transformer and taking out their servers, then they need a much better back-up plan.

Their phones are backed up with these bogus itineraries. Apparently there is no real fraud as there are no credit cards involved, just a major prank that has caused chaos. This very well may be the cause of the problem.
