Re: How are the druids doing?

Inflated HPS due to 3 min tranq.

This. Blue has said that the HPS numbers on Druids are an indicator of difference in CD styles, not true effectiveness.

Well, that and the fact that Efflorvescence/WG is OP on almost all fights where the raid is stacked very often.

This... Coupled with the short cd's on both, and the fact that droods never oom its silly... Its more then just the 3 mni tranq that becomes OP for Heroic Beth.. Its definitely a struggle to heal that with 2 paladins and a disc.. swap a paladin for a Rdruid and cake walk..especially for grounded phase..

H-priest and R-sham can do almost as well under those circumstances, though.

I think the "OP" nature of resto druid healing is overstated. They're good for some things, and not so good for others (Baleroc.)

Edit: Going back to the original point, though, I *do* agree that druid pve healing is strong enough that tweaking resto druids for pvp has to be done delicately. The biggest thing that needs to be addressed is survival. As Arsinic pointed out, it's almost 100 percent consistent that when facing a team with a resto druid, you pressure them until tree form and then kill them. It's formulaic. Resto druids are the only healer that you always automatically target, and that speaks volumes about their pvp viability. While resto druid healing *is* problematic for pvp (they're horribly weak against frequent and rapid switches), their biggest weakness is survival, and this could be rectified with the addition of pvp-centric talents or cooldowns without actually impacting PvE healing throughput.

Drew is right, though- regrowth could be made WAY stronger, and Druids still wouldn't spam it in PvE due to the mana cost. Druids essentially have no viable pvp reactive oh-crud heal... but survival needs to be fixed more urgently.

Notice how the comments are about tweaking or chanigng a class (druids in this case) because of PvP impact. Goes back to a core problem with WOW. PvP has too much influence on PvE and many changes that hurt PvE play were made due to PvP considerations.

Of course I'm right.
