Well, I'm not too sure of that, because they achieve this quite legally at this point, but some attention should be brought to it just the same as questionable accounting practices at Enron, or monopolistic practices engaged in by large corporations (i.e., Microsoft, RBOCs, DeBeers, etc.) In my opinion though record company execs and publishing company execs are crooks. If you don't believe me then just ask guys like John Fogerty.
