[HELP] Cisco M20 and Shoutcast

I've broadcast a private ShoutCast stream for years and always been successful. Worked to remote computers and my android phone.

However, a move has meant I've changed ISPs and have a new router.

ISP : Comcast
CableModem : UBEE
Router : Cisco M20 : Firmware Version: v1.0.04

I'm currently using this url - using no-ip:

»britbloke.zapto.org:1765 ··· sten.pls

The random port is to check my regular 8040 port isn't being blocked.

If I link to this url from within my lan it works. However, it fails from a remote location.

I believe I have port forwarding set up correctly, since I've done a similar thing with different isps and router several times before.

Have I missed anything?

A member on the Comcast forum ran this; I'm not an expert. I have no idea what it means

Any suggestions? Thank you.

Many users of this forum are familiar with Cisco (IOS CLI devices) and you might be better served by posting this on the Linksys forum where more users will be familiar with the OS, UI, and other platform quirks.

That said, one obvious issue is that for HTTP to function ( such as that URL you posted: »britbloke.zapto.org:1765 ··· sten.pls ) you will need to ensure that NAT is configured for TCP port 17654 and not the UDP protocol. After that is resolved, try again and see what port & protocol is specified in the contents of the .pls file you are linking to, so that appropriate configuration can be made to support it as well.

As to another common issue, make sure that your Linksys router is actually pulling a public IP for its external interface. The cable "modem" may be a gateway and result in double-natting your traffic which would result in the NAT configuration on the Linksys box being insufficient.
