Re: Well now

This was quite shocking to be honest. They are at least a year behind at this point spec wise.

I hope that within a month or two they will announce the iPhone 5 with a 4 inch screen. But I don't think that will happen.

Just can't believe this is all we got, yikes.

How so? A5 is dual core, it has dual core graphics. It has a very high resolution display, great camera, 1080p, etc. Pretty much top of the game now and at least competitive.

I do like the integration and will most likely go iPhone 5 for my next phone - the Droid X and Android, while nice is just too disjointed for me.

They won't change the screen size until they're absolutely forced to do so. Look at their portables...same screen sizes since the MacBook was introduced when Apple switched to Intel five years ago.

Also, in terms of specs the iPhone camera is excellent. The CPU doesn't matter as much if you're comparing two different OSes with different performance characteristics (compiled Objective-C vs. interpreted/JIT Java). On the network side I completely agree (primary reason why I'm not getting the phone) however as long as you aren't tethering you'll be okay. If you are tethering OTOH...meh.

As far as "a year behind" goes, a year ago the Galaxy S came out. The iPhone 4S is better...I have a Galaxy S phone to compare the specs/performance to. Though I love me some SUper AMOLED.
