I renewed my bundle in January and I have discounts from my old bundle and new bundle, must have been a mistake, but it works to my favor. Here's what I have: Triple Play FiOS Voice, Internet 35/35, TV Ultimate: $58.99 FiOS Voice Additional Line: $9.99 Multi-Room DVR 4 Room: $38.99 minus Multi-Room DVR Credit of $19.99 Plus taxes: Total: $99.87 Can't beat this, but it will go up in January. |

For $114.99 Extreme HD 35 / 35 Internet Fios Digital Voice One Bill
She changed my Multi room DVR Free for Life
She's extending my valued customer credit of $20.00 which expired on 2/28 for one more year.
No Contract! Is it $114.99 after the $20 loyalty discount? |

Yes I'm in NY. High competition in my area between Verizon, Cablevision, and DirecTV |

No, I'm in CA. The bill should be around $130 or so, but I think the rep made a mistake. |

Frankly, I loved the $300 Visa card. Definitely sign up for the text messages. I knew my exact balance seconds after I bought something. Unfortunately I only have $4 left. |

I just had an Optimum rep come to my door with a decent offer, might call up Verizon and see if I can work something out. |

frankpf3, they finally called me back and gave me a decent deal!
For $129.99 Ultimate HD 35 / 35 Internet Fios Digital Voice One Bill
She changed my Multi room DVR Free for Life as well
Ofcourse you have to add taxes and equipment charges, so bill will prob be $160ish after all is said and done but still better then 190 range... |

Gee, does the copy of Maxim VZ just sent my wife in the mail count as a "reward"?
Kind of unseemly, if you ask me, but then again I always was kind of a prude. |

All these various rewards you guys are discussing, are they only for subscribers on contracts?
I don't see where anything is offered for those month to month.
Is there a way for month to month users getting some reward/credit? |

I've tried calling retentions but they won't offer much. In fact if I re-up with a contract, it would cost more a month but then they offer the gift card. So looks like I'll be losing the mdvr credit. I'd be happy if they matched the online offer for new customers. |

They have me so confused at the moment. My current plan is Verizon FIOS Triple Freedom for 104.99 per month. That includes a bundle credit of 35.00 that is good until this time next year however I have a 5.00 bundle/internet credit that expires and the MDVR credit for 1 year that expires so it looks like a 24.99 increase starting next month.
When I go online to check on my options it offers me a 2 year contract for 119.99 per month. From what I can tell that does not include the MDVR monthly fee and even if I divide out the 300.00 prepaid card over the 24 month period I would still pay 107.49 per month before adding in the MDVR fee and taxes.
The bizarre part is if I change the 2 year contract to monthly it will now cost me 99.99 per month before the MDVR fee and taxes. The only real difference I can see between what I currently have and the 2 new options is they have done away with the phone plan I currently have, Verizon Freedom Essentials, for something called FiOS Digital Voice - Unlimited Plan so I really don't understand why the 2 year contract would cost me more money than staying on month to month or changing to a new identical month to month plan. The new phone plan still includes unlimited calling to Canada which we need and seems to offer more features than the 5 that are part of my current plan. |

Go with the Dgital Voice and see what it does for you... The old Copper phones lines are a thing of the past and you will never know you are on their VOIP system. Maybe then if you go with a new tripple play deal you will have more to bargin with... |

valvoj, do you have a competing cable co in your area? If so you tell them that they have cut you awesome deal and you really do not want to switch but money is tight blablabla and you STICK to your guns... If the rep is not willing to help out wait a day and call back again until you get someone who is willing to help. Sad that we must threaten them to get a resonable offer but this is what I had to do to get anywhere. |

Don't I already have that? I've been on FiOS for 3 years and I'm pretty sure my phone connects through it as well. I remember when the guy installed it he had to do something to move it over from the existing POTS DMARC box to the FiOS connection.
Edit: Calling them turned out to be the best thing. My phone is going over FiOS but the plan was still the old copper voice plan which is the difference. Somehow last year at this time I managed to work out a great bundle for myself so I stay on month to month for now, bump my internet to 35/35, and they continue to rebate the MDVR fee all for what I am paying currently. |
