The vision is essentially the same as it's always been.. it's been a long year but I think we're nearly through it all. It's unfortunate about the DHCP issues (that appear to be *mostly* resolved at this point). The call volume in tech has dropped significantly and we're opening less tickets now. There are still some outstanding cases. Just hope it doesn't start up again. We took it all the way to the CRTC and much was done in the background that's not really appropriate to discuss in public. Rest assured I was making calls nearly daily and I was very concerned about it. I still am...

now we have to turn our attention to these stop sell areas and get the capacity added. Unreal.
Guspaz posted : I'm confused, TSI is saying that they're the fourth largest ISP in Canada... After looking up the number of subscribers for the various large ISPs in Canada, that means TekSavvy has between 1.3 and 1.6 million customers... bigger than Telus. That doesn't seem right.

Here was the ranked list that I looked up. It's not necessarily complete, because I just put down some of the big ILEC/cablecos that sprang to mind and then looked up their internet subscriber count (their actual customer counts are much higher if you include TV, wireless, telephone, etc):

Bell: 2.0 million
Shaw: 1.9 million
Rogers: 1.6 million
TekSavvy: 1.3-1.6 million (claimed)
Telus: 1.3 million
Videotron: 1.2 million
Cogeco: 0.6 million
EastLink: 0.3 million
SaskTel: 0.2 million

EDIT: Having trouble finding MTS numbers. There's a very large Russian ISP called MTS.
--
Developer: Tomato/MLPPP, Linux/MLPPP, etc »fixppp.org
