Re: I'm Finally Leaving Garbage ROGERS For WIND **UPDATE**that is the worst plan i've ever seen. you can send 3 text per day max and you don't have voicemail? Visual voicemail is one of the great features of the iPhone. Also, you basically can never use your phone. What's the use? |

If you're the guy who posted his bill showing that he gets 100 allowed texts outgoing per month, then that's terrible (unless you don't text at all).
Rogers cannot be trusted for this simple reason: rather than simply allowing existing rogers customers to access lower priced plans, they created Chatr (an entirely separate entity that is walled off from existing rogers customers). What kind of scoundrels do that? |

Rogers cannot be trusted for this simple reason: rather than simply allowing existing rogers customers to access lower priced plans, they created Chatr (an entirely separate entity that is walled off from existing rogers customers). What kind of scoundrels do that? yes...100 outgoing not including whoever I message to MY5. I don't text much, because I will instead e-mail people. but I get a lot of incoming (about 600/month) so I needed that to be free, like it was 3 years ago before Rogers/Bell changed everything (because it used to be free, if you recall). I believe most months I text (Outside of my5) about 20 times a month.... you can get discounts with Rogers if you paid off your term. It just takes some work on your part. I think it should be 'auto' when you own your own device..like T-Mobile...but they want you go get new phones every 2 years. |

Well there's telus, which created koodo, there's bell, which "partnered" with virgin. There's quite a few that have smaller counterparts that offer more affordable service. You're acting as though it's disgusting for a business to want to compete with the competition.. |

Rogers created Chatr to deny existing Rogers customers the ability to switch to the lower priced Chatr plans. Simple as that.
If you don't find something wrong with that, then I can't convince you of anything else I suppose. |

So you're saying I have to call once in a while and threaten to leave, and then I'll get a better deal? That's a lot of fun and a giant waste of my time.
As far as incoming text, I don't know anyone who doesn't have free incoming texts. |

Not only that, some service credits expire after a certain period. Say 12 months. So you have to call in again and renew your system access fee credit or your data discount credit. Who has time for babysitting Rogers? Not by choice. People outside new entrants coverage area just have to make time I guess. |

I have to watch my bill, which confuses the hell out of me already, like a hawk and diligently call in to beg them to extend credits. Nice 45 minutes-1 hour phone call when I have other stuff to do. Not only that, my plan always changes every time I call in, it seems. |
