[Internet] found out tonight a friend had to go to the lowest pl

I found out tonight my friend had to go to the lowest plan and lower all her Bell services and so tonight I decided to look into things more and see how much she is paying for what she gets.

and my God

I am disgusted !

Seriously Bell you think it is ok to charge an existing customer that much for 2 GB of usage per month ? Do you not realize that just doing normal things can take up 2 GB of usage ? Talk about gouging !

Heck when I was there I wanted to show her a Youtube video but she said please don't cuz she was worried about her usage. This is just plain sad. I told her that if she did watch videos on there do not watch them in 720p or 1080p as that is where you will get hit hard but really it is getting to the point of being ridiculous when people have to worry like this. Yes I understand there is a $5 fee she can pay to get more usage (40 GB) but considering what she is already paying she should be getting equal to what one gets at Cogeco. Seriously I believe on the low end with them it is 15 GB.

Have a freaking heart Bell omg ! Raise your minimum limit.

You can do about 13 gigabytes a month on a dial-up account. 295.ca sells them on the cheap.

Sad thing is, the lowest plan is called "good".

SHIT would be a better name.

I could blow through 2 gigs in about 30 to 60 minutes if downloading at full speed.

Some sly sales rep on the phone will convince an 60 year old grandma that "2 gigs is plenty, you have nothing to worry about". Then she gets hit with her bill and has at least $100 in overage fees.

We don't need names and specific addresses, but the city, province, rural (if it applies) and some specifics on what she is paying would help.

I have never seen Bell give promotions on services lower than performance (6Mbits/25 GB).

You might want to read through this post for tips on negotiating with Bell.
