Smoogles posted : Yeah I did some research and I saw the best option was teksavvy for streaming so I was fortunate enough to have the highest upload speed in the area I am moving too so we got it , since i don't watch tv or anything it's what I want to try out..seeing places like singapore with their insane uploads speeds and gaming streaming is insane just hope my computer can handle it - I did get the latest avermedia GAMER HD thing though and it's suppose to barely hog up any pc resources so we'll see how that goes.

how about router does that factor into anything?

Aikida posted : I upgraded to from the 6/.8 to the 12/1 package, but my upload speed went from 0.6 to only 0.7mbps instead of 1, so when I try to stream I can only stream at 240p
Its pretty awful even then because there's a lot of movement in starcraft
I just wish I could get my 1mbps upload so the stream is bareable, but everytime I call tech support they tell me something different and end up not helping my problem at all

Resistencex3 posted : Yup, what Inssomniak said. I have the 12/1 package and I've attempted streaming with xSplit playing Starcraft 2, but the upload speed was too slow for any 720p streaming. You'll need at least 2mbps upload to have a decent 720p stream. Generally, when streaming your bitrate should be around 70-80% of your total upload speed. However, you can still get 720p with 1mbps, but that's dependent on your computer specs (having xSplit put more stress on your cpu or have xSplit with Dxtory to put more stress on your graphics card etc etc rather than on your upload)

Inssomniak posted : Go for the package with fast uploads (7m) if its available in your area, if not I think you might be up the creek.
--
OptionsDSL Wireless Internet
»www.optionsdsl.ca
