<description><![CDATA[Irish Shark posted : First you have to get Motorola or Linksys to blink. Neither one will admit that it is their problem. Maybe, some where in this forum, some one will really pinpoint what the problem is. It is difficult because all SB4100s with the speed patch and the Linksys do not behave in the same fashion. One can easliy be made with the following line:<br><B> ping -t 67.xx.xx.xx</B> (your default gateway IP)<br>I just typed that line in Notepad, named it pingdg.bat and saved it to my desktop.<br><br>Rocky, just multiply the kB/s X 8.192 to get your kb/s. I always use the command prompt-based OOL ftp64. It takes the browser and java applets out of the equation. When my TJ110 is hooked up I constantly get 1+ mbs off the OOL ftp test and 8000+kbs from the speakeasy test.<br><br>Hooked up my SB4100 and got the firmware update hoping I was one of the lucky ones with the speeds since I'm behind a linksys router. I didn't get lucky this time. <br><br>Speeds with the SB4100 are running approx. 800kbs-1.01mbs with the OOL ftp test and speakeasy tests only 5000's/800's. If you do the math with the OOL ftp test I'm in 7000 to 8000kbs. There is a big difference between the speakeasy and OOL ftp speed tests with my SB4100. I know the speakeasy test is not accurate but can you explain the huge gap between the two?    ]]></description>

Though above 8mbit, the Speakeasy test loses some accuracy, you should feel comfortable that, well you're <B>FAST</B>! and  don't worry about the actual speed. That should give you a good indication of your maximum d/l speed in KB/sec.  Multiply by 8.192 to get a speakeasy equivalent in kbps.]]></description>
