So I need me a mouseOkay so this may not be the right forum for this, but since the only PC game I play is WoW, it seems logical to ask this here.
Basically can someone recommend a good mouse for WoW? I am coming from playing since release on a trackball (they always seem to fit my hand just right) but the one I have used for years is discontinued and I need to make the jump I guess.
Any suggestions? I need just like 1 or 2 extra buttons I use for targeting and what not and needs to be of good size as I have large hands.
Thanks. |

I use a Cooler Master Storm Sentinel. I've owned SteelSeries, Razers, and everything else and this one is hands down the best I've ever had. » www.cmstorm.com/en/produ ··· advance/ |

Thanks for that. Since I was just looking at WoW, I didn't even think to look there. Thanks for all the input to everyone in this thread. |

I got a steelseries a few months ago and I'm liking it, more than some reviews on it. But it's my first gaming mouse, played WoW 7 years with a normal logitech wireless mouse prior. |

Logitech G9X - best mouse I've ever used.
Also works incredible with the XIM Edge.... But I don't expect anyone here to know what that is... |

what its an awesome mouse.
its an optical trackball with 5 buttons and shaped quite nicely, I got it back when it was made and at that time sold for $60, now people that really want it will pay alot.
e-bay even has people selling repair services for it for $100 or so. |

Logitech B100 wired ten bucks. Or something like the B100 because I can't read the model number. I've been using it since vanilla and it's survived some moments, well, when it may have went airborne and came to sudden stop. |

No... It's a courthouse/dmv mouse.
Friend of mine used to use one too because it was what he was accustomed to. He claimed it was "just as good" haha, you should have seen him playing FPS's... Aahh, that was fun... |

Nope... I know the mouse... I'm just amazed that others have attempted to use it for gaming.
Granted, MMO is much different then FPS. But his Razer Naga he plays with now has significantly improved his "reaction time" or targeting. |

there's even a site where some cad users tried to get the rights from Microsoft to make more but microsoft wouldn't No... it wasn't a $500 mouse initially. It's only expensive ($200) right now because of it's rarity. So yes, DMV's an courthouses have them still... It's an ergonomic mouse. More power to you if you like it, that's fine and dandy. My friend fought me tooth and nail switching. He hated every second of it until I forced him to put enough time into to get comfortable. He's never looked back. I'd be willing to guess you've "tried" other mice too and didn't like them. |

It feels comfy and I got tired of the cable on other mouses moving and causing annoyances.
CAD pros also love it based on the number that have tried to get it back into production.
I think it'd be a money maker if MS were to re-release it, maybe with their blue tech. |

Razer Naga. Company is good about replacing them as well if something goes wrong. |

My last Razer lasted so long that the click stopped making contact with the switch.
I glued on new material and it worked for another year. Actually it still works, it was replaced for a higher DPI mouse. |

For WoW, NAGA. That is all. |

I bought a Razer Naga about a year ago. After research I've found that this mouse was highly recommended amongst the WOW cool kids. Personally I feel this mouse is way too small to fully utilize all the extra buttons it has on the side of it.
It is difficult for me to use all of them as they are kinda small. Granted I have what is considered to be a big hand but it is not a banana mitt with sausage fingers. For what I paid for it I think it is a was a waste. I still use the mouse as I dont want to lay down another $100.00 for a different kind. |

My girlfriend just bough a new NAGA, and it seems pretty sweet.
Small mouses are actualy better for you ergonomicaly because it forces you to hold your wrist straight. (or something like that)
I have a big hand too, but I can attest that my wrists last much longer with a proper (read: small) sized mouse.
The heel of your hand needs to be held up. If you are dragging over the mouse pad or resting your hand all the way do on the mouse, your at risk of injurying your wrist. |

So no one is excited about the new World of Warcraft Wireless Mouse from Steelseries that comes out on the 26th? |

Honestly, it's not about the mouse all that much. I keybind everything - I don't click a thing. I use the mouseover purely to mouseover, and every ability I use is bound to some key combo. For example, on my druid - every heal has a mouseover macro. Having a ton of extra buttons or programmable mouse controls would mean very little to me. I have a RAZR Naga that's collecting dust, I use a simple Logitech 2 button mouse with a decent response rate, and that's more than enough buttons for me. |

I agree with ClawFury. My biggest use of the mouse is to angle the camera. Once engage in combat, both hands are on the keyboard. I have a Steelseries mouse that collects dust that the wife bought me last year. I find it huge and cumbersome. I prefer the small wireless mouse that I used long before WOW. |

I have a G13 that I bind everything for and the mouse is more or less just used for moving ... and one button does my targeting. The trackball I have works wonderfully for that really because I just have to hold down the right mouse button and move the trackball in conjunction with the G13 stick .. so maybe I just need to change how I do things .... |

I use a G13 and a Naga and don't ever click. The way to do it is to use the G keys for your w,a,s,d buttons (the ones with the indentations) and then map the buttons around it for things like map, character pane, bags ect. Use the thumb stick as your modifier with alt, shift and CTRL to the up left and right directions. (I only use 3, you can use however many you want.) Now set your keybinds in game to 1 to =, then another bar with alt+1 to alt+=, then again with CTRL and with Shift. By doing this, you can now access up to 5 action bars with just a movement of your thumbs as well as have all your important junctions close and be able to move, target and cast at the same time. |

Naga Razer and Nostromo N52te. I never touch my keyboard when playing WoW. Everything is binding to either the mouse or hand pad. |
