<description><![CDATA[Scycotic posted : DCM475(or DCM476) can be used for all of the tiers. However, DCM425 only supports up to the ~18 mbps tier. So if you want to futureproof (and I highly recommend you do), then get the DCM475/DCM476.<br><br>An another advantage to getting the better modem is with congestion, you might be able to better maintain speeds with the newer DOCSIS 3.0 modems.]]></description>

<description><![CDATA[dsl33 posted : according to TSI website I can only use:<br><br>dcm-425 on 5 & 8 megs<br>dcm-475 on 20 & 30 megs.<br><br>do I have to buy both modems for example if I use 8megs and later want 20megs?<br>or can l order 20megs with dcm-475 and later downgrade to 5 or 8 using dcm-475?<br><br>looks like I may have a huge expense to future proof.<br><br>thanks.]]></description>
