There has been a consistent pattern of congestion for me in the evenings. Daytime speeds and ping times are fast. Evening speeds and ping are all over the place. I've seen ping times in the triple digits.
VOIP quality is affected by elevated jitter , streaming video services are always buffering and web browsing can be very unresponsive at times.
This issue started happening immediately after the 2 day outage that we experienced back in mid January, which also coincided with the date when the new speeds profiles were available.
Before then, I had never seen any sign of slowdowns in the evening and was usually able to get max speeds on speed tests, with ping times in the low 20's.
Here are a couple of the test results. They are both done after a modem reset with the modem connected directly to the computer, although the tests with the router are identical.
Anyone else in Brantford experiencing similar results?
