Ultimate 30 Cap Increase From 175 > 275gb /MonthJust got an email from Cogeco indicating that on April 1, my monthly cap is going up to 275 gb a month.
While this is welcome news, I was hoping that'd offer "unlimited" for an additonal $10/month like Rogers and Bell now do.
It would be nice to not have to worry about my caps AT ALL! |

Just got this email as well, there was a note at the side to call if you need more. But as usual I bet they will just say "Get Ultimate 60" instead of giving a real option such as the $10 unlimited which I would buy in a heartbeat. |

What I'm really hoping for now is that we should get more increase of upload speed. I'm dying for some upload speed, especially since I am a person who continually uploads on youtube, and will have to struggle keeping the videos at 360p rather than HD, simply because my upload time will take too much time. |

here's what i'm talking about: Ubuntu 12.10 Software Repository, over 64GB of software on 15 DVDs, sent to you for 31.95$ » www.osdisc.com/products/ ··· -pc.htmlYou save 11$ compared to Cogeco's 42.95$/month Express 10 internet connection. Now What's the Problem Here!??? You can actually get the damn thing physically sent to you, burned on 15 bloody dvds for cheaper than downloading it???? |

I just got the email. I'm going from 300gb limit to 325. No other changes.
A little disappointing but oh well. |

Since U30 had no cap increase the last round, I personally am pleased that we saw the biggest increase this time. I can understand some of the other tiers not being as happy, but most of you saw increases previously. I'm certainly not going to complain about a 100gig increase. Yes, an unlimited option would be nice, but this is better than a rate increase (yes, I realize that will come next, but still....) |

Yes thanks Cogeco for the increase in usage, but please be nice and don't make us pay for it. |

Call me when they have an unlimited add-on for $10/month like everyone else already does. |

(yes, I realize that will come next, but still....) The other shoe WILL drop. It's like McDonalds supersizing campaign, and the chips and chocolate bar makers fiddling with the sizes and prices nearly every time we wipe our arses. |

Everyone should check if Bell upgraded their SLAMs, on 25/10 - 400GB / $52 / month after taxes +$10 for unlimited if I want it. Note that it's actually stable at peak, 25/10 24 hours, zero congestion and my line is capable of 130+Mbits. |

St. Cats is all fed by 7330s so if you wanted 50/10 you should be good for it. |

You guys know it's actually $30/month after the low introductory rate, and they take the time to say (not even in the hidden fine print) that the offer could be ended at any time at Bell's discretion. So, temporary unlimited for $30 a month. Not so nice as permanent for $10 a month... |

It's $10 triple played or $30 on its own. Those aren't introductory rates. Either way, what does it matter? It's still an option that Cogeco doesn't have except for the $50 max on Turbo 20 and lower. And it's "permanent" on Bell, but sure they could get rid of it at any time. The earth could blow up tomorrow, too. Rogers says their is a "limited time offer" but everyone knows it will remain just as permanent as Bell's. Videotron is in a similar boat. Cogeco is the odd man out here. No surprise, sadly. |
|

to Marcus
There's no "introductory" rate. It's either $10 a month add on if you have at least 3 services including Internet. Or $30 if you have 2 services or less. Still valuable if you are a bandwidth hog. |
