We spend a lot of money to support them. When a large studio turns out a product that is sub-par and exacts a large price for said piece of crap, we're pissed as a whole.

I guess it depends on your definition of "fucking us over". Simcity was advertised early as being a multiplayer game. As you said before, we are all gamers in this forum. We all enjoy various kinds of games. However, this is a situation where the company that made the game said it was going to be multiplayer. It is in fact entirely multiplayer. So why get upset about it?

Its akin to bitching at Blizzard for making WoW without a single player option. Its akin to the makers of Guild Wars not making a single player aspect to the game. Same with the makers of Path of Exile for not making a single player aspect to the game.

The game had a crappy launch. Same with the launches of many other games where people couldn't play when they first were released. I know many, such as Diablo III, that had issues when the game was released. So if that is what you are upset about, then by all means be upset about it. The company should have had more servers upon release.

If this, however, is an issue with Simcity as a whole....a game that was single player before and now is multiplayer, then you really don't have a leg to stand on. The game was never advertised as single player to begin with. I am not excusing the lack of single player though. It was almost the entire reason why I didn't buy the game. The rage that many gamers in here are levying against EA for this game are really off the mark. Everyone here knew what kind of game it was going to be. Blame them for the failed launch and not having enough servers. That is the most you can get them for at this stage.

As for the customers refuting the charges on their credit cards, I can tell you the person I know who did this just found his Simcity disabled. He still has the game in his Origin account, but he cannot play it because the serial number was disabled. The other games in his account are still playable.
--
My domain - Nightfall.net
