Re: [Tampa] Cable Box reboots at least one time per nighWhile that would be nice I don't think the software can support something like that. I really doubt most folks even know their boxes reboot overnight or early morning except those of us who work weird hours or are night-owls. I just happen to catch it rebooting when I get home from work, otherwise I'd never know it was doing it. |

The technology exists. Dish allows you to schedule the time for your update. There is also a pop up when it is going to power down that allows you to tell it to wait. At least picking your update time allows you to not miss a recording like BHN. |

Should at least give option to abort after warning if someone is watching something. |

Doesn't matter. This affects people who may be up late at night watching recordings on their DVRs or watching programming on movie channels like TCM, HBO, TMC, Showtime, etc... |

I work nights, so when I am off, I tend to stay up all night, and it is annoying when you are watching something and the box decides to reboot. It would be nice if they could reprogram the software to allow for us to set the time convenient for us to reboot. For me it would be in the afternoon when I am asleep, and I don't record anything then. |
