Re: Do you like Air Canada's new Uniforms?

As people are getting larger (which is not the airlines' fault), the airplane seats are getting smaller (which IS the airlines' fault). If not actually smaller, then closer together which the industry calls "pitch".

Some airlines now are planning to make the RESTROOMS even smaller, so as to fit in more passenger seats in the cabin.

Back to main topic, the airline executives who think that new uniforms are something we care about are really off the mark. There are lots of other ways to make the flying experience better.

Management priorities are screwed up.

My only problem with the width of seats is for shoulder room. Two big men next to each other is a lot like 3 in the back seat of a small car. Doable but not comfortable. Especially when you get to share an arm rest. Seat pitch affects me more considering I'm 6'4". They've shortened the pitch but increased legroom by using thinner chairs but it doesn't exactly work when your knees touch the chair in front.

It's too bad first class is so expensive. You get a nice chair and great legroom. Service up front has also been top notch for me. It is really how flying is meant to be enjoyed. Probably helps that they give you 'free' alcohol.
